The Thames Valley Talent Lab is located in Berkshire, ideally situated between the M3 and M4 at Binfield near Bracknell. Click on the map to obtain precise directions.
The largest room in the building is the conference room on the first floor where delegates can be briefed together in the first instance, presented to as a group, or relax between interviews, testing and exercises. \n\nAgain the room is furnished to provide both comfort, flexibility and practicality for both delegates and assessors including the provision of independent air conditioning and black-out blinds. The furniture can be arranged to create a lecture theatre style layout, or to provide break out groups. Full AV facilities are provided via the provision of a fold down plasma screen and a CD/DVD player with remote speakers.
Delegates are greeted and signed in at a reception desk that facilitates a welcome immediately they walk in the front door. The desk can be manned by your own personnel, or Talent Labs can supply a receptionist for the period of your occupation if required.\n\nThe desk is also supplied with a PC and badge printer to facilitate the provision of identification badges for assessors and delegates alike.
The refreshment area is an open plan area where delegates and assessors alike can take refreshment on a self serve basis. \n\nThe facility includes a high quality fresh bean ground coffee machine offering the choice of cappuccino, latte, espresso and regular coffee. There is also a fully stocked fridge with soft drinks and milk for tea!
Half of the ground floor of the Talent Lab is given over to the 6 interview rooms all of which are air conditioned and soundproofed. The interview rooms have been designed with both comfort and practicality in mind to ensure that the conditions are created for an engagement giving maximum benefit to delegates and assessors – seating is formal yet comfortable and a whiteboard is provided to enable graphical explanation of complex concepts.\n\nIn addition each room can be video enabled to allow the interview to be recorded – allowing later playback for analysis or a simple ‘memory jogger’ for the assessors.
The Collins room on the ground floor is designed with 2 purposes in mind to maximise flexibility in the facility. The primary purpose is to give the facilitators the opportunity to discuss/evaluate delegates in privacy throughout the assessment day. However with flexibility in mind the room is also designed with functionality to allow use as a delegate facility – through the provision of a laptop counter and wifi access to the internet – and a group exercise room if required.\n\nThe room is equipped with a large plasma screen to facilitate AV presentations if required and is independently air-conditioned.
Situated on the first floor, the primary purpose of the air conditioned testing suite is to provide a facility for up to 6 delegates to conduct online psychometric tests at any one time. The room contains 6 private booths each equipped with a PC that allow each delegate to work in privacy but without a feeling of isolation.\n\nThe room doubles as a meeting room or group exercise room through the provision of a large meeting table and plasma screen to facilitate AV presentations.
